This is the prequel to my other fic, We might be hollow but we're brave! You don't necessarily need to read that fic to understand this one, but it would probably help as this fic is intended as an exploration of Wilbur's backstory and how he came to be the person he is in the time that We might be hollow but we're brave takes place.
