Spicyplum will make you feral!!!!!
This fic is tattooed in my brain and every time i think about Jeongguk I see /this/ one in my head, isnt that insane? I love this and I love how calm it is in its chaotic nature. It's simple in execution and yet the nuance in it lingers with you. You feel the characters and they all have their own voice that echoes clear in their writing. I think it is nothing short of an insane feat to be able to capture seven different voices so well and if you ever think "it can't be that hard?" then i recommend you to have at it! because its a lot harder than it looks!!!
Muscle-y goofy jeongguk is the loml and the only one i am willing to share him with is seokjin so I GUESS he can have him. I GUESS. IF I HAVE TO.

If you know me, then you would know I was a hardcore yoonjiner for 7 years until I converted last year to be a jinkooker. And A LOT of people asked me why and how etc, bc i was the #1 sinner im not joking. IRLS asked me!
And this was it. this was the fic.
Seokjinhie is wonderful in letting you fall into a sweaty juicy world with love and glitter and magic where its kind of sexy to smell like musk and maybe you are a bit feral for that but who cares? who cares, really. Her description on jeongguk literally changed my brain chemistry, and i still think about him as gooey and pliant and like slime from her! in the best possible way!!!!
She is also one of the more "recent" authors I recommend bc I started reading her work in 2020. She really REALLY got me thru the pandemic and her twitter is/was so funny and addicting i was absorbing the boys' content through her. I really really miss her place in the fandom and I hope to see her return and if not, I will have to try and move on in some sense! Although it's a bitter pill to swallow. You will feel a nostalgic twinge in your heartstrings while reading it, however, considering 2020 is now FIVE YEARS AWAY (?!?!?!?) so be warned! It will remind you of a much simpler time in the fandom, and I will not hold myself responsible for that in case it makes you sad (and SEOKJINHIE WILL NOT EITHER!!!!!!!!! i will sit in her comments reporting any bad behaviour in case you do!!)

Yoongi can’t hear the marigolds. But he watches Seokjin giggle madly to himself while he waters the flowers during his afternoon rounds, so Yoongi believes Seokjin nonetheless.
Or, as the marigolds would say, Yoongi beleafs him.

I have already praised sinkingmyships like an old man on the street blabbering to whatever (unfortunate ear) that will listen, but i will do it again!
I took the fic I still remember the best and choose to write my high praise for it here. This fic is platinum gold standard in storytelling and worldbuilding, especially considering i dont even LIKE fantasy (Especially back then?!) They have a way with describing situations through a very clear lens and especially with a narrator like yoongi, the thoughts are all steel-y in the best possible way.
Sinkingmyships is writing for another fandom now so if you have read all of their works and crave more, please support them there! I still haven't bc im stupid and can only focus on one ship at a time, but you really really should. They're great in every sense of the word and I yearn to know how someone already so great, must have improved in another sphere? truly a masterclass!!
I want to keep this a bit short bc i will cry LOL so if you want to see me wax poetry to this wonderful author its in one of the comments out of one of the fics.. i did incorrectly write avatar when i meant vagabond tho ;__; im so sorry miss user sinkingmyships!!

I was in the fandom when this released and also, to no one's shock, was I also an avatar-kid. I watched it with my dad during marathon weekends on nickelodeon, dubbed because thats how every cartoon has to be where im from, and i loved it so much. I waited for new episodes in real time! And, to no one's shock, I did the same thing with this one.
Nothing, and i genuinely mean NOTHING, has ever come close to have captured that magic as much as this fic. Choegos did the impossible and took already loveable characters, gave them a twist and applied some of my favourite people into a world I already know everything about and STILL managed to make it fresh. The weight on Yoongi's shoulders feel real, I get goosebumps thinking about it, and the nuance of the characters is all amazing and lovely and artful. It's crazy to think that the authors of the avatar franchise didnt even know how to execute it again, regarding korra, but choegos did.
Choegos is also part of the 2017-2018 army fanbase i hold so so dearly to my heart that it sometimes is the only thing keeping me afloat when the fandom is the way it is now, and especially because so many of my favorite users have deactivated because of it (seriously i will smite every single person that has sent a mean comment to any person ever. you all SUCK and i will rat you out to namjoon!!!)
Although, I think, Choegos has moved on to bigger ventures I will stubbornly stomp my feet and wait here (Although very very patiently) for their return. If not for this fandom, then just for their writing alone. Hopefully, in my head, they're still writing.
