When Peter followed Ned to that party, a flicker of recognition in Ned's eyes was all it took to start cracking Dr. Strange's spell. There's only one way to stop the spell from breaking down completely: Peter must be removed from the universe, banished to a universe where he has never existed.
Once again, Peter finds himself starting over, this time in Gotham City. After an explosive introduction to Gotham City's vigilantes, Peter has to deal with mutating powers that are increasingly unstable while he tries to figure out if he can be Spider-Man again. Along the way, Peter finds himself growing close to the Wayne family, who seem determined to help him find his place here. But after spending so long lost behind the mask, can he learn to be Peter Parker again?
Meanwhile, the Bats must deal with Spider-Man, a new, hostile entity in Gotham, all while their civilian identities grow closer and closer to Peter Parker. As they try to uncover the mysteries of Spider-Man and of Peter Parker, Jason Todd grows particularly close to Peter while trying to come to terms with his own, relatively new, place in his family.

Summary
Desperately trying to save his life, Jean was able to use her powers to save both Peter and herself, though by channeling a part of her powers she didn’t know she had. While she was successful, they found themselves someplace that they’ve never seen before with no way back.
Or: Jean discovered she could travel through universes, but landed Peter and herself in one of the worst scenarios possible.

Summary
Jean feels like her heart is exploding into a million little pieces, helplessness burning her up at a cool 15 million Kelvin. She sinks into the blood surrounding her and Peter, and heaves out a sob, forehead falling forward into their clasped hands as Peter's grip slowly slackens from her hold. Jean feels for a moment that everything around the two of them is exploding into a supernova. The death of the brightest star that Jean's stuck in the orbit of, making way for the birth of something else entirely.

Alternatively; Both Jean and Peter find themselves in Gotham through a sudden burst of seemingly otherworldly power. They're stuck being forced to adjust to a different lifestyle, attempting to find a way back to their world on their own, with no one to rely on but one another. At least that's how they would like it to work out. Unfortunately, Gotham's insatiably persistent colony of bats have taken an annoying interest in both Spider-Man and his 'Shadow'—as well as the seemingly normal civilians Peter Parker and his 'kid sister' Jean.

Summary
He thrashed, eyes flying open against the gritty burn, arms and legs flailing against the viscous green goo he was suspended in. Green green green. Everything was green, it seeped into his pores, tainting his skin. He tried to claw himself upwards but he didn't know which way was up. Nausea flooded his stomach, bile building in his mouth and mixing with the green. He retched into the water, sucking in more green with each gag. He arched, legs kicking out against nothing as he clawed at his throat. Darkness crept into the corners of his eyes, creeping closer and closer and Peter heaved and gasped into the green.
Everything went dark.
“No, c’mon Spider-Man, that way is up.”

Peter Parker dies on Titan, staring up at a yellow sky that he wished was blue, and then he was choking back to life in a pool of green. He doesn’t know what’s happening, but his healing factor is being weird and he doesn’t look like he did before.
The man in the Red Hood says he can help, and maybe, just maybe, Peter will let him.
