“This is stupid.” Yuan looked very uncomfortable, shifting awkwardly on her feet.
“You’re being dumb,” Shirase agreed, watching Chuuya pull his suitcase from the backseat.
“You’re gonna get kidnapped,” Yuan rung her hands together.
“And we won’t come to retrieve the body,” Shirase nodded, tucking his hands into his pockets.
“I’m probably not gonna die, I literally know martial arts – and I know Dazai. I’ve been talking to him for weeks. I’ve sent you his photo, I’ve sent you his address-–”
The photo in question was the one with a spoon on his head – dyed red hair messy, bandage over his nose, the prettiest eye shape Chuuya had seen. It was odd to think that someone that good-looking would be single – but he was, and they’d been talking for weeks. He was definitely real.

“Well, if I have a relationship that doesn’t work out, I’ve always got you, Chuuuuya!”
Dazai spoke with a chuckle and dragged out the sound of Chuuya’s name over the chatter of the noisy arcade and games; he was obviously joking. but to Chuuya, it seemed like a cruel, twisted joke to remind him of how he’d always be a second choice to Dazai.
“Hell no, you stupid mackerel!”
Chuuya turned, facing away from the taller as he brushed off the first remark with a predictable response. Dazai only laughed more in return before commenting about how “he’d never want to be with a short slug anyways.”
Chuuya didn’t have anything to say in response to those last words. Instead, he sat there, still facing away from Dazai as he let the sounds of the arcade take over his thoughts, and let the lights drown out whatever else Dazai had been ranting on about.

Summary
After Hirotsu gives them their offerings, they exchange rings, and Dazai never, not once, breaks eye contact even as they're instructed to kiss. Chuuya expects a wet tongue in his mouth as some sort of demonstration of dominance, so he's surprised when Dazai's hand lifts to cover them both, and the only thing that's pressed to his lips — the corner of them, to be precise — is a dry, fleeting kiss.
And then it's done.
Chuuya is officially, irrevocably married to the one and only head of the mafia.
Or, an AU in which king of the sheep Chuuya has to marry port mafia boss Dazai to get one of his people out of jail.
