“Good morning,” Robin says, savoring the slight dampness of his soft lips and the rush of his hot breath against her palm. “You’re cute when you sleep,” she adds, watching as his cheeks turn a little pinker in response. He plants a kiss against her fingertips rather than answer her directly.
Robin thinks fondly that no matter how passionate he gets, Chrom will always be dogged by this bit of shyness. It’s ridiculously endearing how easy it is to make him blush.
Robin wakes up before Chrom for once, and an old hurt is addressed at last.

Superman shot down to the mountain of rubble that had begun to shift, carefully pulling away car-sized hunks of stone. Between the grinding of the stones against each other, Clark heard sniffling. “You alright, there Superboy?”
A small voice called back, “I’m stuck.”
Clark bristled in shock. “Kon?”
The boy looking up at him with grey eyes was no more than seven or eight years old. There was dust in his black hair, and he was practically drowning in a Kryptonian suit under a spiked leather jacket. The sleeve had been pinned under a stone.
One minute, Kon is seventeen, the next, he's seven. Clark grapples with the guilt of wanting more time.

When she first met him, she’d assumed Clark Kent–solid, Midwestern, unassuming, non-demanding–would favor a beer and maybe a shot on the side if everyone else was partaking. She could peg him as maybe having a craft beer if he was feeling adventurous or a whiskey sour if he was really feeling like something on ice or just wanted to seem interesting in a group setting, but she hadn’t expected anything out of the norm.
The first time they’re at a bar for an unofficial team happy hour on a Friday night and he orders an honest-to-God Shirley Temple, then, she’s thrown.
“No one drove here,” she offers. “You don’t have to DD.”
Clark shrugs, looking mildly bashful the way he usually does when anyone’s attention is focused solely on him when he wasn’t expecting it.
“I’m not really a drinker,” he says, almost apologetically, even as he accepts his drink from the bartender, the glass looking almost comically dainty in his hands, which just adds to the comedy.
Lois, though, just shrugs. Everyone needs a quirk, after all, and there are worse ones to have than not drinking.
