(Modern day ish and it’s in the future) The party (Mike, Will, Dustin, Max, Lucas, Steve, Jonathan, and Nancy) all live in Hawkins with kids of their own now, Will sort of brushes off the feeling. The same feeling he’d get when Vecna was around. Nancy calls Will panicked telling him to gather anyone who was with them during the upside down stuff to come to her house. It’s an emergency including their kids.

“As much as the rational Will, the old Will, wouldn’t want this, the monstrous Will, the real Will, knows there’s no way he could deny what’s being willingly offered to him.
“It’s going to hurt,” Will whispers against Mike’s ear. Mike’s heart skips a beat, but he stays completely still. Mike moves his head in a single understanding nod against Will’s shoulder.
The old me is dead, and I want Mike desperately.
“Do this for me, do it because I’m selfish”, Mike’s voice rings through Will’s head. The irony, he thinks.“

Three years after the events of season five, the party goes on a camping trip. Their lifelong friend (and hungry vampire) Will Byers is finally convinced to come along, despite the fact that he has hardly anything to eat.
Mike Wheeler, Will's best friend (and secret love) offers to help Will with his little problem.

Summary
When Will Byers moves back to Hawkins, he and Mike Wheeler pretend they're strangers. What used to be a childhood friendship has curdled into resentment and arguments that never end. With Will's amazing artistry and Mike's creative writing. The president of Yearbook assigns them a comic that needs to be finished by the end of the year; if it's not, then both members receive a fail. Will can't stand Mike's personality, and Mike can't stand Will's constant goody two-shoes act. When these two pair up, will they learn to work together? Or will old tensions flare? Working together was never part of the plan, and neither was surviving it.
