Summary
Robin knows for one thing for certain: Hawkins, Indiana can't catch a fucking break.
In the fallout of Vecna's win, the Party has to contend with much more than the upside down. Not only is the Military creeping into their town, and working to keep them under lock and key, but the residents themselves are desperate for answers. And, if the officials won't give them the answers they want, they intend to find them all themselves. All Robin can do is hope that she and the Party succeed in their mission before the rest of Hawkins succeeds in theirs.

Steve gives her a skeptical look, “Combine?”
“No, think about it.,” She says, “I know exactly what I want, and I’ve found the girl of my dreams but I just can’t get the courage to ask her out. And meanwhile you go on a million dates and you have no idea what you want.”
He hums in agreement. Robin continues, “So if we just combined…”
“Oh…”
“All our problems would be solved. Because I mean, alone- let's face it.”
“We totally suck.” Steve says.
‘Totally and utterly.” Robin agrees.
It’s supposed to be a silly pipe dream. Key word being supposed.

It would be kinda funny if it wasn't so sudden, the way he tosses her like a somewhat limp javelin, and she hurtles through the portal and skids to the hard tiled floor of the lab.
Again, relief blooms in her chest, bright and warm.
And then, she looks back at Steve through the zipping portal, and the fear surges.
