And she wasn’t sure she could survive it, if it meant losing Marcille. Her best friend. The woman she loved.
Yet telling the truth wasn’t an option, either, so Falin stood paralyzed in the same place, reminded of her lie at the most inopportune of times. Ironically, it was her own insistence on not mentioning a thing that ended up being her downfall.
