Summary
Something goes wrong. The crown is split during Narinder's defeat, splitting the power between him and the Lamb.
Narinder keeps a portion of his godhood, and the Lamb finds that abilities they had access to before are no longer possible: Healing is cut short. Powers are halved. And there is a very real chance of permadeath, as the ability to resurrect is not possible without full power, and the God of Death is not cooperative.
Afterlife and Purgatory are not options either. Dying means erasure. Gone.Lambert knows Narinder grows stronger by the day, crown or not, and yet keeps him spared as they try to figure out how to complete their own goals. Narinder vows vengeance on the lamb for usurping him. After a few unsuccessful murder attempts, he's in for the long haul. It is only a matter of time before the Lamb's guard is down before he can strike, and The One Who Waits is very patient. When a mystic being demands they save the bishops from purgatory, an alliance is in order.
Except...the lamb's actions and their presence begin to unlock abilities within the God of Death he didn't know he had prior to his imprisonment, among other fickle things, like emotions. The prophecy didn't warn him of that part.

Eventually, Light speaks. “Tell me you don’t feel this…” He starts. “Even if you must lie, tell me we aren’t this idiotic. Why haven’t I walked away?”
Aoi laughs, the melody of it ringing out into the streets, muted by the miserable layer of snow. Light’s shit out of luck if he thinks Aoi is going to be the person to relieve him of this stupid, unsaid connection. Oh, no. Certainly not. If Aoi has to suffer with it, Light has to as well.
“Aoi,” Light warns, like he can tell all his laughter is hiding.
Dregs of laughter still clinging to his voice, Aoi answers, “You know I can’t tell you what you want to hear. I’m sorry to tell you; you really are this stupid.”

“Whatever, I got one. How d’you feel about Toya? Haven’t seen you guys hold hands like that before.” Akito can see her smile through the glass of her cup as she raises it to her mouth, and the slightly amusing distortion does nothing for the sudden pang in his chest.
Akito and An have a few drinks together after one of Vivid BAD SQUAD’s shows. More than a few questions are asked.

Revali opened his eyes as the daybreak shone through the open windows, illuminating his roost in a rush of brilliant light. It pierced through the cool air that had drifted down from the Hebra Mountains, bringing a welcome heat that struck his shiny, fluttering feathers. The light breeze and enthusiastic chirping of birds were the only things to be heard outside at this hour; he supposed everyone else in Rito Village was just the same as he was, tucked into their hammocks, just waking up at the whims of the sun almighty. Or, almost the same.
The smaller Hylian lay on top of his chest, head nuzzled in against his neck. Revali could feel more than see or hear every time the boy breathed in and out.
Or, Revali wakes up in the morning to see Link sleeping on his chest, cuddling him.

You weren't a technician, you weren't a security guard, you weren't a daycare assistant. You're just an employee. Staff. The ‘jack-of-all-trades’ employee with mediocre at best skills and specialty in none, tasked with doing miscellaneous jobs that robots couldn't do and human staff couldn't care to. The job is unpredictable, but it pays good and it's relatively easy.
Except for the part where all the animatronics are more sentient than you thought, and you're roped into a mystery surrounding the Daycare Attendants, who are bit too curious about you for your liking.

And that terrified her.
Shouldn't that mean she ought to keep her distance? If he kept making her think of Abigail, wouldn't it be easier to mourn if he weren't around? If she didn't have a constant reminder of what she lost? But she didn't feel sad next to Webber. In fact… she felt the opposite. He distracted her. Made her feel like a child again, like she wasn't trapped in a world that felt too big, too cruel. When he talked to her, when he laughed, it was easier to forget – if only for a little while.
Maybe, with him around, she could pretend she was just an ordinary kid again.

The foreign feeling of panic starts to settle in. Revali may be no expert to Hylian physiology, but he saw how Hylians fared in the cold. Their cheeks were a bright blotchy red in the cold. It wasn't the deathly pale white he was looking at now.
He has to choke down a mirthless laugh. How ironic would that be, the destined savior bested by the mere natural elements.
Or the one where Revali kicks an unconscious Link collapsed in the snow.

"Turning to Link, Revali had expected him to hold some expression of annoyance over the interruption. But, even now, he wore some blank face instead, stowing his deeper emotions under the surface.
It was irritating.
'After everything that we’ve been through, I still don’t get you.' Revali narrowed his gaze over Link. 'Why would the sword that seals the darkness choose you, this…this utter nobody!' His green eyes locked onto Link’s blue eyes, and Revali glared at the hero. 'Why was I the one that was picked for my efforts, but you were chosen on a whim? And why was I the one that could have died from all of this?'
Link blinked as his mouth parted. This fool of a knight once again elicited emotions that Revali should have locked down by now, feelings that no one else knows of. Yet something about Link just drove those straight out of him, boiling deep down and brimming to the surface."

Age of Calamity Spoilers.
Revali struggles adjusting to a calmer life, but as usual, he refuses to share that with others. However, he might find comfort in the last place he would look for it...or rather, with the last person.
