“Get-” he coughed, “-get back.” His vision swarmed with spots, purple and black alike. The Delusion was going to kill him if the person in front of him didn't first.
“Hey, relax, I’m not a bad guy.” Their hands went up in front of them, boot coming up to ease the door shut behind them.
“Then go,” more coughing. His lungs felt constricted, pushing out every ounce of air in them. “They’ll…” Diluc’s arm fell to his side, his Delusion glowing bright enough for an instant to illuminate all corners of the dingy shack. It fizzled out, a large crack heard as its glass casing ruptured. Diluc caved forwards, claymore clattering to the ground beside him.
Tartaglia rushed to him, turning Diluc over and lifting him to sit. His eyes were foggy, unfocused, his mouth slightly agape as he gasped shallowly for air. Blood trickled from his nose.
Shit.
