“Already penciled it in,” chirped his secretary. “Not that you’d forget!”
“Remind me anyhow,” said Sephiroth, and headed for the elevators.

Summary
Siblings Olivia and Matt are transmigrated into Crisis Core era FFVII. Matt is a huge Final Fantasy fan, so when he sees Shinra coming, he runs like hell. Olivia knows nothing about Final Fantasy, so she ends up in Hojo's lab.
Hojo delivers Olivia into Sephiroth's care, hoping to breed his new alien specimen with his prize SOLDIER. Instead, the two form a deadly alliance.

The strangest thing about a body like Sephiroth's was that nudity didn't make him more vulnerable.
His hot villain getup was intimidating, for sure. It broadened his shoulders, emphasized his height. But it also added personality, for lack of a better word. Black leather for that cool bad guy vibe. Voluminous skirt on the coat for a regal flare. The harness was clearly a thirst trap. Remove the getup and he was just as threatening but so much harder to read. Scarier, in a lot of ways.

Summary
Cloud arrives in Midgar with glowing eyes and a scrambled memory. Tifa ropes him into Avalanche. They blow up one reactor, then two.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Sector 7, Sephiroth resurrects. He's as sane as he'll ever be, and he's on his way to Hojo's lab to destroy Jenova. She lied, she got him killed, and now she'll pay.
Turns out, he'll have some company.

Eliddell's take on pre-downfall Sephiroth is stoic and strategic; his emotions aren't just repressed, they're carefully sealed away in tidily labeled bottles that can be contemplated but never opened. His character is remarkably consistent across Eliddel's fics, even though the circumstances change, and she's good at making the details work for rather than against her story. Sephiroth as a Wutai prince really fits.

Summary
It took Shen Yuan a full week to realize he'd transmigrated into PIDW.
In his defense, he'd woken up to a sky filled with blood rain, raging walls of hellfire, and a shadowy thing trying to take a bite out of his leg. He'd had to hit the ground running (literally, because that shadow thing had been hungry and fast) and hadn't had much time to take in his surroundings.
Luckily he was fast in this life. His strange new set of goat-like legs seemed to help with that.
In which Shen Yuan transmigrates as an incubus, and everyone realizes it but him.

Real talk: this should be the default mode for FFVII time travel. Cloud gets the hell out of Dodge and starts tearing down Shinra. This is unfinished but glorious--Cloud is living his best life, having a great time, and everyone else is playing catch up
