Summary
esspresso is probably Evan's best friend. Talking to him is easy. Evan knows esspresso –– he can't spell, he totally overuses "I am" in his poetry, and he's always a little hard on himself. esspresso lashes out sometimes, but Evan's okay with that. He knows what it's like when people leave. He won't do that, not to his friends.
loreax is probably Connor's best friend. Talking to him is hard, but in all the right ways. loreax challenges him to be better, lifts him up, makes fun of his spelling, and is the kind of thoughtful that only comes from spending way too much time in your own head. Connor can relate. He doesn't always know what loreax wants, or even what he needs, but he's going to try. He doesn't have that many friends, he'd like to be there for the one he's got.
Connor and Evan don't know each other very well. Evan is weird, and fidgety, and the kind of anxious that makes Connor feel like he's just kicked a puppy. Connor is scary, and kinda mean, and the sort of edgy that makes Evan feel like he's going to get cut.
But fate seems to be so determined that they end up friends that it happens twice. Sort of. The whole thing is messy. Blame Jared.

Summary
There’s a beat of hesitation, but Evan lets go of the red metal and looks headlong into the ground awaiting him.
All is calm, and he takes a step.
“What the fuck.” The stillness of the night is shattered to pieces, and Evan scrambles desperately to take hold of the bridge again. The loss of the silence brings about the loss of control, and within moments he’s hyperventilating, hands sweating and heart racing.
Evan glances over his shoulder and in the darkness can make out a slight, tall figure standing at the very edge of the treeline.
“I-I’m sorry?” Evan chances in response, eyes on the person as they step forward.
And, well. Of all the people he expected to see tonight, Connor Murphy was not one of them.

(WARNING: Not everything in the tags and stuff are currently posted in the fic. Tags and warnings may also be added if later down the road a chapter needs them and I make a decision.)
A tale of the progressing story of Ladybug and Chat Noir and their growing team as Master Fu decides after the Volpina incident that they need more help in the field. Will be ignoring the book cliffhanger at the end of the Volpina episode, but will try to keep everything else as best as I can. Will also be assuming that Volpina's abilities more reflect the fact that she's a liar than what would actually be the power of the holder of the Fox Miraculous. Will the new additions to the team help or hinder the two? Read to find out. Also, sorry I suck at summaries, hopefully eventually I can add a cool quote to help.
