Summary
Pomni remembers Abel not only for what he said, but for what it cost him to say it. He asked questions, he insisted, he searched for meaning… and that’s why he was silenced. She swore she wouldn’t repeat that mistake, but silence is also a form of condemnation.
Jax, on the other hand, does see the path. Not because he’s braver, but because he hasn’t paid the price for intervening yet. He still has the chance to bend Pomni’s fate, to break the cycle before it closes in on her.
The real question isn’t whether he can do it, but what he would lose if he did.
If Jax acts, he stops being a spectator and becomes guilty.
If he doesn’t, Pomni will walk toward the same end as Abel… and Jax will have to live knowing that silence was also a choice.
Sometimes destiny doesn’t change because of a lack of power,
but because of the fear of taking responsibility.
