When Tav's tent was hit by a stray firebolt Astarion laughed. How could he not? It was funny. He put on the sympathy when it seemed the tent was a total loss and kindly invited Tav to stay with him until they could get a new one. Tav had been sweet to everyone so far - sickeningly so in Astarion's opinion - so he wouldn't expect any odd moves from them. None that he didn't initiate at least. Besides what was a better way to manipulate him into helping kill Cazador than to kindly share his tent, and his body, with them?
Surprisingly enough Tav agreed to the invitation.

Tav glances over his shoulder to ensure no one is watching, and touches his neck. “This has to stop.”
It’s subtle, the way Astarion’s careless facade morphs into rapt attention: a refocused tilt of his shoulders, a new glint to his eyes. Tav holds his breath. Now neither of them are breathing, he’s sure.
Astarion speaks, softly: “What has to stop?”
“You know what.”

The vampire's eyes are wide and round, full of amazement. They dart wildly around the sights below, as if trying to see everything at once. The lights of the city reflect upon his face, soft shadows dancing across his elegant features. The very tips of his fangs are visible from his parted lips.
The radiance of the city pales in comparison.

Two months after the brain falls, Baldur's Gate has picked up most of the pieces. The heroes that saved Faerûn have been there through most of it, helping the city get back on its feet. But now it's time to move on. Old lives and families to return to. Gale is going back to his tower in Waterdeep, back to the quiet, back to being alone; or at least, that was the plan. But plans change.
This is a story about falling in love.

“Do you think he’d be angry, pet?” Astarion mused. “If he found you like this? Would he be heartbroken? Or simply humiliated?”
Of course he wouldn't let her answer. He covered her mouth with one hand, the other pressing her down.
She clenched her jaw, wanting not to tremble beneath him. She should’ve been ashamed. But gods, it was hard to think when Astarion was like this—when he made her feel so alive.
His mouth grazed the back of her shoulder, then up her neck. “Should I bite your scruff while I fuck you in front of your boyfriend? Like a wild beast?”
