Summary
The day after the Bloom that was almost the last, Rue, the once-again orphaned owlbear, stumbles across a screeching feychild in the forest.
They realize the child must be their own, and spirit her away where they will both be safe.
The next Bloom will be different. Rue almost skips it entirely, but Squak and Chirp insist upon their presence.
There, they have to face not only their past, the man they once loved, and the father of the feychild they found- they just might have to face their future, as well.
