Summary
On August 22, 2025, Laufey's album "A Matter Of Time" was released, making the album officially one year old! In celebration of that, I am posting a of Zukka one-shots every day for every song on the album ;) There will be fluff, angst, and (hopefully) a bit of comedy. I'll keep adding tags as I post new chapters so as to not spoil anything before it comes out.

Like most things that happen in the rain, everything was sharp. Zuko had a fierce single-mindedness that wasn’t uncommon, just keener than usual.
He had to leave.
Self preservation wasn’t something he had attempted in a long time, but he was tired of just sitting there and taking it. Letting the abuse roll over him in waves, letting his grave diggers mine into the crust of the earth on his behalf.

Summary
[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.
What the fuck?
“Sokka, I—”
Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.
“What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]
Or:
An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.
But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.

Summary
In order for Sokka to protect his people and his family living in the southern water tribe, he agrees to become a spy for the fire nation.
A year passes and Sokka has become close friends with the fire nation’s prince and heir to the throne, Zuko, or maybe even more than friends.
Plot and storyline is inspired by something the live action Sokka’s actor, Ian Ousley, said in a YouTube video for Netflix during a game of two truths and a lie as a way to recap season 1 of the live action

After Azula wounds Iroh in the three way battle between Azula, the avatar gang and Zuko in the episode "The chase".
Zuko screams at the gang that they should leave them alone.But this time. The gang stands their ground. They are unable to just run away when someone clearly needs their help. Even if that person is their enemy.
