Summary
Till is a struggling musician, well struggling isn't the right word. He's reached some level of celebrity in the local underground scene, but record sales are dwindling. His producer comes to him with a less than savory solution: pretend to date someone for clout. Not just anyone, some model looking to break into the music scene. It's unsettling and leaves a bad taste in Till's mouth, he hates lying and at its core, that's all this, a lie. It sounds simple, just be seen together, pose for some photos, they don't even have to be physically affectionate, no big deal.

“The harm,” Till replies, “is that this is wrong, I don’t like you, you don’t like me, this is lying, plain and simple.”

Truth be told, Ivan didn’t care that Till was an alpha. He didn’t mind that their scents should be incompatible, that they were biologically predetermined to be rivals and nothing more, he still wanted Till, desperately. He found him more alluring than the most beautiful, docile omega around, in fact, he found the constant power struggle between the two of them to be exhilarating, reveled in each of their scuffles and the bruises he could inflict on Till’s perfect, pale skin. Each time he left one there, he would silently revel in his victories until it faded, preening at the thought that it somehow served as a mark of his ownership of the other alpha. This was insanity and Ivan knew it, but his affections were far from innocent, bordering on obsession at the best of times. He had long ago accepted that he would be alone unless by some miracle he wound up with Till because his heart couldn’t accommodate another. Till had no interest in him and was tired of his company, platonic or otherwise, so begrudgingly, he accepted the next confession he received and feigned happiness in the omega’s company if only to pacify Till.
