As she gets closer, Tim is immediately drawn to her wide brown eyes; they are broadcasting her emotional state for everyone to see — some combination of eager and excited and nervous. The polar opposite of the cool and guarded expression he is careful to keep on his own face.
Angela turns to look at him, clearly trying to gauge his reaction before she whacks him with her bouquet and hisses, “That is your soon-to-be wife, Tim, not your new boot, so maybe chill out with the death glare. You shouldn’t be trying to intimidate her.”
Tim ignores her; he begs to differ. This woman is supposed to be his wife. Chosen by supposed experts to be his life partner, his perfect other half. He is sure as hell going to be assessing whether she measures up to his standards. The fact that he already knows all of this is bullshit honestly just makes him that much more inclined to prove it.
When she reaches the end of the aisle, she stops in front of him and tilts her head to smile up at him in this sweet, hopeful way that he simultaneously finds incredibly endearing and incredibly irritating — like he holds her fate in his hands, and she is counting on him not to f*ck it up.

Lucy questions momentarily if maybe this isn’t the best idea — if adding alcohol to the intensity of the anger and grief and resentment that is still radiating off of him will result in anything other than regret.
But again, she opts to stay quiet. If this is what he needs in this moment, this is what she will give him.

Lucy is momentarily rattled by the realization that yes, of course, they will be sleeping in the same room, likely with a few other teams, but the thought of sleeping next to Tim Bradford every night somehow hadn’t factored into how she had envisioned this would all unfold. In fact, she’s starting to quickly realize that she’d let the glamorous ideas of being on TV and traveling the world and kicking butt in the competition completely box out any practical consideration of what living here in this situation for the next few weeks will actually be like.
She’s jolted from her thoughts when she realizes Tim has come to a stop in one of the bedrooms, depositing her bags on what she assumes will be her bed, and is now pulling off his punch-soaked shirt in front of her.
Her eyes widen in surprise as she numbly processes that, yes, he looks just as good, if not better, as the last time she got to see this particular show.
Get a grip, Lucy tells herself; if the show is anything like prior seasons, she’s going to need to get comfortable with shirtless Tim Bradford and fast.

If it was literally anyone else, Lucy would have vocally and violently objected to being manhandled in the manner Tim chose to pull her into the closet with him, but it was Tim, and her trust in him and his instincts is practically innate at this point, so she doesn’t resist his unexpected maneuvering.
The first thing Lucy notices about the closet is how dark it is. The tiny sliver of light coming from the bottom of the door is no match for the pitch black of their newfound prison.
The second thing Lucy notices about the closet is how small it is. Given how tightly their bodies are crushed together in this minuscule space, Lucy is grudgingly grateful that Tim had managed to pivot her in toward his chest as he yanked the door closed, because the door closing on her nose would have been pretty unpleasant, and somehow, the alternative of instead being smushed up against Tim Bradford’s chest is not entirely… unpleasant.
As such, the third thing Lucy notices about the closet is how very Tim Bradford it is.

Lucy reels after someone close to her is hurt, and Tim struggles with how to support her in the aftermath. They both grapple with the realization that their relationship may be changing.

She doesn’t miss the brief flash of hurt on his face, but she is too emotionally overloaded to know what to do with it. Tim already has a way of putting her emotions into disarray that she hasn’t quite sorted, and she just doesn’t have the emotional space to process anything else in this moment.

Jackson freezes as he mentally tracks back over his words, gulping as he discovers his fatal error. The look on his face is confirmation enough for Tim, “Huh? Who’s what?” he attempts to deflect, dumbly.
Tim continues to stare at him, “You said something about ‘hot TO fantasies’?’”

Her instinctual need to comfort and reassure him has completely overridden the logical and mortified voice in the back of her head demanding to know what she thinks she is doing, begging her to abort and get the hell out of that garage.
