"Yes, I am touching your boner," Ilya smirked. "Hip boner," he moved his hand down, stroking as he did. "Pelvis boner." He dragged his finger further away, down. "Femur boner."
"I know that you know the difference between a bone and what a boner is, Rozanov," ground out Hollander. "You asshole."
So impatient. So perfect.
"A man cannot forget? Hollander, you know English is not my first language. I cannot understand what you may or may not imply, I need you to be specific for me."
"Okay," agreed Hollander, far too quickly. "Sure, I can do that." There was an expression on his face that Ilya recognized as the same one he got whenever Ilya chirped him during a face-off, right before Hollander would inevitably win the puck and take off flying down the ice, Ilya racing behind him, snapping at his heels.

They toe off their shoes in the entryway and Shane looks around, pulling in a deep breath and letting it go. Two hours ago, his dad had walked in on him and Ilya and Shane had thought the world was ending. Now, the world seems bigger and more plausible than ever, like a smooth, fresh field of ice, stretching all the way to the horizon, just waiting for his skates to mark it up. He turns, and there is Ilya, hands in his pockets, watching Shane with a look of lazy contentment on his face as if he feels it, too.
