Summary
Sirius Black was eighteen years old when he ran away, bringing his seven year old brother Regulus with him.
Now it's eight years later, and the two brothers are living peacefully in Godric's Hallow with just the two of them against the world. However, when Regulus gets accepted at Hogwarts, the prestigious private school towns away, Sirius cannot afford the tuition, and has no choice but to resort to asking his parents for help.
Having to face the past for hope of a better future, the two brothers endure a journey facing many obstacles along the way, but at least they have their friends and each other.

The drastic change in volume seems to have woken Sirius. Peter moves his camera so he has both the couple and the elder Black in shot, and watches as Padfoot turns to see the cause of such uncharacteristic silence. He blinks, appearing to need a moment to register the sight before him. Flashes of emotion make their presence known on his face, each as strong and unrecognisable as the last, finally deciding to settle on rage.
Padfoot slams his hands down on the Gryffindor table, shoots up, and yells: “JAMES FLEAMONT POTTER!”
James turns away from where he had been softly conversing with Regulus, the lovesick grin never leaving his face. “Yes, Pads?”
A low growl leaves Sirius, easily recognisable to Peter as Padfoot slipping through in anger. “GET YOUR GRUBBY, STICKY HANDS OFF MY BABY BROTHER!” His pale face is slowly turning red, eyes glaring daggers into his best friend and chosen brother.

Summary
Regulus wakes up in James Potter's bed with no memory of how he got there or why James was suddenly being so nice to him.
He soon finds out that's not the only thing that's wrong. Regulus is suddenly in a world where he was sorted into Gryffindor in his first year, him and Sirius never grew apart, James Potter claims that he is in love with him, and he is apparently one of the Marauders. He has no idea what's happening, but all he knows is that he needs to get back to his own life as soon as he can.
Or, Regulus somehow ends up in an alternate universe where he got sorted into Gryffindor, changing the course of his time at Hogwarts.
*Voldemort doesn't exist in either universes- this will have a happy ending

“Would you like to play a game? Regulus.” In record time the young boy hung up the phone and went to lock the doors.
