Summary
“They are wolves, Derek, wolves!”
“I know.”
“They—” Stiles choked and focused his gaze on the alpha. “W-what?”
Amidst the rubble, the groaning building, the wailing, and the scent of burning metal, Derek looked calm. The alpha ascended one step, closer to Stiles. “My love, listen to me—”
“What is going on?” Stiles’ throat dried.
“I said, listen.”
The omega’s mouth clamped shut, his lips trembling. The muscles in Derek’s jaw bulged as if he struggled to stay still.
“I am taking you hostage.”
Stiles’ chest stilled. His lips parted. He went completely stiff, watching Derek’s lips move, but the words made no sense.
“Derek…” he murmured hoarsely, shaking his head. “What…”
“I am not going to hurt you.” Derek’s voice went hard as steel. He spread his arms as if showing the lack of armor. “But you are coming with me. It is an order. Do you understand me?”
Stiles shifted his gaze from his mouth to his eyes and flinched back.
They were red. Burgundy, like the blood splatters marring his face.
And just like that, everything became clear.

Summary
A car door slams outside and Stiles is across the living room in a second, waiting at the door like an excited puppy—which is what he usually teases Derek's betas with but Stiles can't help it. The front door unlocks and Stiles is ready to shout a greeting but he stops, stills. It's his dad, not Derek. It's his dad in his Beacon County Sheriff's Department uniform with Parrish right behind him.
The joy that's been growing inside of Stiles curdles. It shrivels and twists his stomach in knots.
"There's been an incident."

Summary
His father wasn’t stupid. He was an officer of the law, trained to look for patterns. He confronted Stiles about werewolves and they shouted and Stiles tried to explain but his father was so, so, so mad, more mad than Stiles had ever seen him, ever in all his life and then his father looked at him and said,
“It’s like you’re not my son anymore.”
And Stiles broke.

Summary
Stiles is known for not being a run-of-the-mill omega.
He’s mouthy, stubborn, strongly opinionated, and he doesn’t appreciate egotistical alphas in the slightest. In fact, he’ll tell them exactly where to shove it— . . . if he could. Sadly, when you’re in a Contemporary Issues class at school with a teacher who loves write-ups, one must curb the tongue to some degree.
Even when lacrosse star and alpha Derek Hale is being a massive asshole, and continues to argue with Stiles every chance he gets.

NOTE: I recently read over this fic, and there are a lot of typos I need to fix.
Some of you may or have read my author's note, but sadly I'm having laptop issues, and I had to finish this fic with my phone--- hence the monstrous typos.
I won't be able to fix this story up appropriately until my laptop itself is fixed.
