Summary
A fight with a reality bender and an overloaded Astral Pulse lands Robert and his Mechaman suit into a different universe altogether, one where his dad never died and Mechaman Astral was still in active duty.
It should be a kinder universe with one less tragedy, but it's not. Not when this universe's Robert had died young instead.

Summary
Following Shroud’s passing, Torrance was no longer glowing red. Robert was also SDN-suspended, but so was his heart towards a certain flamboyant guy. Flambae learns of Robert’s feelings towards him, which, one way or another, led to both of them having a one-night stand. However, amidst their intimacy and infatuations, a new threat also disturbs the peace of Torrance during Robert’s suspension. Fragments of Robert and Flambae’s past lives resurface in succeeding dispatch calls…and Robert has to decide if he needs to cut himself out as a dispatcher of the Phoenix Program, for the sake of Flambae’s future.

Initially, I wrote this with solely romance in mind and not anything else. However, after drafting Chapter 6…I realized that I’m probably on to something. This is a DLC-esque story following the events from Season 1’s Episode 8. New villains, new synergies: that’s where my writing led me. Expounding more on Flambae and Robert’s dynamic, and giving more spotlight to the Z-team and other side characters.Bookmarked by Cherrysnowfox
