Jaskier looks human and he feels like one too. When he feels sad, he cries until his voice is hoarse. When he doesn't eat for days, he feels hunger gnawing in his stomach. But steel can't kill him. Hell, even silver can't kill him. But perhaps, this witcher might.
Or, Jaskier is an immortal being that is on a quest to figure out what the hell he is and found a witcher by the name of Geralt along the way that he took one look at and decided, "Yup, that's the one." Summary
Julian of Kerack has the amazing ability to get himself in and out of easily avoided situations by causing what one might call “catastrophes”. When a significant prize is offered for his death he decides the best solution is to get a glamour and live as a human for a few years until everyone has forgotten about the mishap.
That is not what happens.
He ends up with more fame as a bard than he ever had as a witcher, and an even higher price on his head than there was originally.

For quite some time, Jaskier had been off dealing with his one-sided feelings for Geralt just fine. Really. But when Geralt suddenly started to call him ‘love’ and started to act in a way more befitting of a smitten maiden rather than a brooding witcher, things started to get complicated.
A little story starring a ridiculously high-dose love potion, a blushing mess of a jealous witcher, an eternally suffering bard as well as a bustling city, promising solutions but ending up being a scene for awkward courting, mutual pining and…dancing?

Geralt has been called many things in his long lifetime and most of which are meant as insults or a way to describe how horrid he was. The most popular moniker nowadays seems to be ‘Hades’ or ‘Witcher’.
He is the god of death and supposedly had no interest in human affairs.
Everything changed when a man named Jaskier is sacrificed to Geralt in order for the Lord of Redania to achieve his wish for glory and power. Needless to say, everything came tumbling to its right place after that.
[aka. In which the god of death (Geralt) unwillingly receives a sacrifice (Jaskier) and doesn't know what to do with a mortal bard...so he falls in love with him.]

Instead, he goes and finds Ciri, and together they find Yennefer, and only then does he realise he needs to find Jaskier, too.
He hadn’t counted on Nilfgaard finding him first.
