Summary
In the aftermath of Yuuta Okkotsu's suicide attempt, life comes at him quickly. In order to deal with being thrust into a brand new world and growing into a brand new person, he develops a coping mechanism that nobody knows about. Nobody, that is, except for Toge Inumaki, who unintentionally catches Yuuta in the act without him knowing. And keeps watching, without Yuuta knowing, getting a behind the scenes glimpse into Yuuta's personal recovery process from beginning to end.
An exploration of Yuuta's character growth as seen through the eyes of Toge as Toge slowly starts reluctantly falling for him, using metaphors surrounding snakes, songbirds, cicadas, and cranes.
