Summary
Sophomore Childe meets a stranger at a bus stop and falls in love at first sight – at least that's how he describes it. If only photographing Kaeya meant he could fall out of love with him, and not more so, maybe he wouldn't be so terrified.
Childe holds his face against the crook of Kaeya’s neck. It’s easy to pretend there are ideas such as ‘inspired art’, ‘eternity’, and ‘immortalized beauty’, when he is surrounded by the wood-scented fragrance of Kaeya’s perfume. If this isn’t art, Childe doesn’t think anything is. It’s art when Kaeya takes him a little tighter into his embrace and kisses his forehead and says again, “What am I supposed to do?”

An AU where after the events of 'A New Star Approaches', Tartaglia is re-assigned to Mondstadt. His active presence in the City of Freedom is a curiosity after Signora's cool detachment, thus it is only prudent that the Acting Grand Master turn to her most effective Captain to investigate.
Kaeya is talented at what he does, but he is blind to what he needs, and that narrow focus fails to alert him to something increasingly obvious until it has him by the heart.
Ripples in water travel great distances, and no one is prepared for the consequences when they come.
