在一次任务事故中，Steve、Barnes、Sam、Clint、Natasha、Bruce和Thor被扔回了2011年的十一月。希望能有方法回2024年，他们找到了这个时间的Tony寻求帮助。只是……这个Tony除了Natasha，还没见过他们中的任何一个。足够奇怪的，也许是知晓未来事物的帮助，Steve和这个过去的Tony在一开始相处甚好。事实上，这个提供住宅的亿万富翁很快就喜爱上了他未来的队友们。一个残酷的提示，让混蛋们想起在内战前他们一直是怎样的。
但如果这些混蛋们以为Stephen Strange不认识他们任何人（除了Nat）、更别说还没有厌恶他们、并且没有超能力，会让事情变得简单，那他们大错特错了。Stephen，年轻的那位，杰出的外科医生，是一个更为自负、混乱、冲动，并且显然比Stephen——那位至尊法师，更难相处……那样艰难以至于队长几乎要发疯。
