The Archives feasted and devoured in the old times, the world new and magic, and grew bloated with stories. Every new meal stale, every plot a rehearsal.
The role of the Archiver meant they always had to find new stories, more interesting ones to provide. And as such, Shiori finds an opportunity to be had in the Cell.
But imprisonment has weakened her, and her grasp over the Archives is beginning to slip. When It learns about the other inmates, It demands to know more about their stories, and will acquire them, whether she wants to ask or not.

Summary
Nerissa's popularity has come back to bite her when the kingdom she resides in decides to make a sacrifice to the dragon who moved into a mountain nearby. Nerissa's beautiful singing voice and beauty places her in front of a dragon's cave, bound, atop a small pile of treasure in hopes that the dragon will spare their villages and livestock.
Only the dragon can shapeshift into a human, and they're not a brutal, mindless beast. In fact they are smart, have taken to learning what all of the other races have done in the past hundred or so years, and even has a tidy cave that Nerissa is now forced to live in.
If it wasn't for the fact that this dragon, named Shiori, wanted to keep her as a pet, Nerissa might even find herself enjoing their company.
