He glanced back one last time before closing the bedroom door— Sunoo’s head resting against the pillow, eyes half-lidded, a small smile tugging at his lips, as their daughter napped beside him, tiny breaths soft and even.
Sunoo caught his gaze and mouthed three simple words. I love you.
Sunghoon swallowed thickly and nodded. For a fraction of a second, he considered not saying anything back— praying that the emotion shining in his eyes would be enough.
But Sunoo deserved more than that. He deserved to hear the words back, ten times, a hundred times, a thousand times.
So even if his voice cracked a little, heavy with feeling, Sunghoon still whispered the same three words. And if Sunoo noticed, he was kind enough not to point it out.

Summary
Sunoo and Sunghoon do… a lot of things together.
And sure, Sunoo’s not oblivious—he knows their friendship probably crosses a few lines. It’s not exactly normal for best friends to share a bed every night, or feed each other at dinner, or, okay, share a toothbrush. (He honestly didn’t think that one was such a big deal until Jungwon found out and dry heaved for, like, forty-five minutes. A little dramatic, but fine.)
Still, there’s one line they’ve never crossed: they don’t scent each other.
