Nerdi trusted his friends.
He smiled, almost manic, as he handed the power over to Feinberg. The last round Infume had been caught too easily and that was no fun. He watched as Feinberg adjusted to the new feeling before he gathered his magic to send them to run. It certainly must have been stressful for Feinberg, but it was so fun for Nerdi.
He smiled and laughed with Feinberg, the two of them floating in the void, afterwards. He praised Feinberg. Holding out his hand for Feinberg to give the power back. Feinberg had laughed, told Nerdi it was fun before giving up the power. It was fun. He wanted to do it again.
Nerdi must’ve had too much trust in his friends.

Kai stared at the TV in absolute horror, the remote slipping from his hand. Why was he like that? He swears he's not normally that cringy. Did transforming change his personality or something?

Summary
Taehyun stared at the cup in his hands. The red liquid staining the sides of the cup. The red liquid being blood. His hands tighten around the cup slightly. He’s not really sure what had happened.
He remembers everything hurting. He remembers suddenly being in a forest, bleeding out and in pain. He remembers some voices. He remembers the overwhelming taste of blood. He remembers how foggy his head felt. And he remembers closing his eyes, thinking he was dead.
Then he opened his eyes again. He was still in tons of pain. Taehyun remembers waking up before falling back to unconsciousness. He can vaguely recall someone forcing him to drink, which usually caused the pain to lessen.
At least he was alive.
Well, technically, he wasn’t alive anymore.
Or ot4 take care of newly turned vampire Taehyun while Taehyun slowly realizes he's grown attached and doesn't want to leave once he's ready to go out on his own.

Beomgyu was right in front of him, Taehyun nearly cried. He had so many things to say, so many things to apologize for.
“I love you.”
“W-what?” Beomgyu looked at Taehyun confused, his heart fluttering at the idea that Taehyun actually liked him. But that couldn’t be right, he had made it pretty clear that he couldn’t stand Beomgyu last night.
“I love you,” Taehyun says again, his voice steady and confident.
“Let’s get you back to bed, you’re still recovering,” Beomgyu says with a sigh, leading the younger back to his room.
Or, Prince Taehyun is given a second chance at life with his fiance through an arranged marriage after watching him die. Only Prince Beomgyu doesn’t know that. He’s confused as to why his crush, a man who made it very clear he hated Beomgyu, is suddenly nice to him.

Summary
“Your hands are shaking.” The Emperor finishes his thought gracefully. It's the first time they've spoken–even their courtship contained no correspondence aside from the many gifts that piled high in Soobin's room at the manor, untouched. Most, if not all, had come with him on the journey. “Are you perhaps cold?”
“Oh,” he says stupidly. “No, your Majesty.”
He clams up immediately after, tongue thick behind his teeth, unable to offer any more clarification than what he's already given. The wine jar settles onto the table without any incident, and Soobin's shaking hands settle atop his knees, smoothing over his robes. Mustering up his courage, he forces himself to continue.
“I suppose I'm just nervous.” Growing up, he'd been encouraged to be truthful. Not that much encouragement was needed–he'd been honest to the point it was a fault. Even so, that changed as soon as his mother decided he was meant for bigger things. She'd swiftly changed her tune–Soobin-ah, if you need to lie, the best way to do so is with a partial truth. Choi Soobin is not cold, nor is he nervous. He is terrified.

“Or else we’ll have to kidnap you and make sure you’re taking care of yourself!” Beomgyu smiles, like it’s a joke, but Soobin’s only half-convinced. It’s not like kidnapping a random, nobody of a person like Soobin would be difficult. He takes another step back. Kai nudges Beomgyu in a way that has the shorter alpha wincing.
“Hyung! You can’t just say that! You’ll scare him!”
“Aish, it was a joke! I promise!”
Nope. Soobin’s not risking it.
Ignoring the rest of their conversation about the merits and morality of kidnapping him to make sure he ‘eats enough tteokbokki and ice cream!’, Soobin turns on his heel and power walks to the back room without a single glance back.
