But unrequited love for an Addams is a death sentence of heartbreak and insanity. Over half of the Addams cemetery is dedicated to those who had loved but were unloved in return. And now the youngest daughter of their lineage was destined to be buried there as well, and alarmingly soon too. Her love fruitless and her beloved with another. So, with an uncompromising determination she threw herself into all kinds of dangers in a desperate endeavor to keep herself out of the curse-damned part of the burial grounds. “Why does being alive hurt now?” The seer tugged at her damp braids. “It never did. I’ve had nightmares since I could speak, and suddenly, they scare me the way pink nail polish and glitter scare me. I think of the Hyde, and Laurel, and Weems. And most of all, I think of you.”
Or, Wednesday’s rejection of Enid’s offerings and advances have dire, century-old consequences. A curse would sound fun, if it didn’t force Wednesday to reckon with the trauma Crackstone left her with.

“I don’t know what I have to do, Wednesday, to get you to notice me, so I really need you to tell me,” she begins. Her chest tightens, like she’s having a stroke. “What is it that I need to do? Do you want me to go on investigations with you? Spend hours in an old bookstore or that weird place with all those dead things? Get you a bat to care for?”
Wednesday’s eyebrows furrow, her mouth turning down into an even deeper frown.
“I don’t think I understand,” she says.
OR
Enid makes numerous attempts to show Wednesday she likes her, with no luck. She’s more than angry when the one thing that finally catches Wednesday’s attention is Yoko’s pet bat.

Summary
Shortly after Nevermore reopens its doors, Wednesday and Divina are assigned a project in which they must cast a time-traveling spell. That would have been fine, if Wednesday had managed to follow instructions in class.
Instead, Divina is reverted to her infantile stage—body and all—and leaves Wednesday with no choice but to look after her until she can bring forth a solution, which means Enid is along for the ride, too.
What no one realizes is that Divina is still somewhat conscious and has a trick up her sleeve to play baby Cupid for her two babysitters.
