Summary
The boyfriend looks at Eddie's arm, looks at Eddie's face, does whatever math drunk people do when they're deciding whether a fight is worth it, and somehow arrives at the correct answer. He grabs maybe-horse-Ashley by the elbow and pulls her away, muttering something about firefighters that Buck doesn't catch because he's too busy trying not to pass out.
Eddie turns around. His hand is still on Buck's chest.
"Seriously?" One eyebrow up. Not angry yet, but getting there. "We've been here an hour."
"He came at me!" Buck throws his hands up. Outraged. Innocent. An absolute victim of circumstance and nothing more. "I was just talking to her."
"You were practically on top of her."
"That's just how I talk to people, Eddie. I'm a leaner. It's my thing."
Eddie stares at him for a second. His hand drops from Buck's chest and he shakes his head, turning back to the bar.
"Get yourself a drink," Eddie says over his shoulder. "And stay out of trouble for five minutes."
He makes it roughly eleven minutes before he does something stupid again.

Buck holds his gaze for a beat before nodding slowly. Eddie guides him back toward the sink, stepping aside at the last second and tipping Buck’s head up to expose the dark mark blooming on his throat to the mirror.
“Should do a whole line of ’em sometime,” Eddie says quietly. “Make a pretty collar out of it.”
Buck looks dazed, already slipping under. “Uh-huh.”
Eddie shifts his grip, cradling Buck’s jaw instead, leaning in until their noses brush. “Wanna fuck you here. Remind my puppy who he belongs to. That okay?”
Their heads almost collide violently with how hard and quick Buck nods. “Yeah, y-yeah. Fuck me. I’m yours, you know that,” he agrees, easily. “Holy shit, Eddie. What has gotten into you?”
Eddie hates the possessiveness. The jealousy. It twists something ugly in his gut every time it surfaces. But this isn’t about reminding Buck. Not really. It’s about reminding himself—Buck is his. He isn’t going anywhere. There’s no one Buck wants more than him.
His hand glides down the side of Buck’s neck, landing on his shoulder, before nudging him downward to his knees. “Down.”
OR Eddie is jealous. He fucks Buck against a wall of mirrors about it.

He slides off of the arm of the chair and onto where Duke gestured, trying not to land too heavy. As he does it he watches Robby’s expression change – concern melting away as he raises his eyebrows and runs a hand through his beard. He looks impressed. Dennis made the right move.
Duke sounds delighted, “There we go. Taking it like a man, aren’t you? Not so shy around a bit of attention.”
Dennis feels himself flush at this, it escapes no one’s notice and a moment of quiet falls in the garage. Some old rock tune in the background plays on. There’s a sense of anticipation; they want to know what Dennis will say.
“I can take it,” he repeats.
“Good man.”

Dennis has always struggled to fit in as one of the guys, so when Robby invites him out for a boys’ night, Dennis is anxious to prove that he belongs.
He certainly couldn’t have hoped for this – becoming the main attraction for a night he’s never going to forget. -

Eddie reached out and gently lifted Buck’s chin to make sure their eyes met as he asked, “Buck, what were you dreaming about?”
At first, Buck stayed completely still. Eddie could see him working through how much he wanted to reveal. “Please,” Eddie pleaded quietly. “Please tell me.”
After letting out a deep sigh, Buck shifted and sat up next to Eddie, their arms and thighs touching. “They had me tied up in that shed, and I…” Buck shook his head. “You were looking for me. I could hear you calling, and Bonnie… They were going to hurt you. I couldn’t let them hurt you.”
Eddie froze, trying to process what Buck was saying. “You… you were going to stay? For me?”
Buck’s voice came out thick with emotion as he responded in a whisper, “For you. For Chris.” He took in a long, shaky breath. “I remember thinking that would be the last time I’d ever hear your voice.”

Eddie discovers more about what happened during Buck's captivity, leading to them finally becoming what they were always meant to be.
