“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.” Chongyun repeated his words through tears of ice. He pulled the blade out of Aveasse’s crimson covered body and threw it across the floor.
At that exact moment, Aveasse screamed in pain. The sound of the scream was so mortifying that the hairs on everyone’s necks stood on end. Then he fell unconscious, having spent the last of his strength.
