Summary
The game was simple enough. Two groups entered the dedicated training area, the older group the Predators and the younger group the Prey. To win, the Predators needed to have all members of their prey captured by the end of the games. The Prey could win by stealing keys from each of the Predators and using them to set off a flare, but no one expected them to succeed.
After all, that wasn’t really the point of the game. Technically it was a way to battle other battalions in a controlled landscape - a sniff of glory and a way to demonstrate strategy - but the majority, if not everyone, who entered was primarily after the sex. The 501st and Clone Force 99 were no different in this regard.
When residual personality clashes between the 501st and Clone Force 99 remain after the recovery of Echo, Rex decides to call an Oya game challenge between the two sides to reach a common ground and to help Echo gain confidence after his ordeal.
Well, that and to win a bet with Commander Cody, the surprise sponsor for the so called ‘Bad Batch’, but that went without saying.
