Summary
' Buck, speak of the devil, dropped down the last few feet. Bracing one foot against the rocky cliff and the other against the bumper, he secured his line and glanced up. The moment his eyes met Hondo’s, he faltered, foot slipping slightly against the rock.
“You okay, kid?”
It was impressive, the speed with which Buck recollected himself. Other than a slight downward quirk to his lips as though he had swallowed something sour, there was nothing on his face to tip off discomfort. An odd reaction, as far as he knew Buck had never met this man before. Eddie couldn’t help but furrow his brow. 'Evan "Buck" Buckley doesn't lie to his loved ones. At least, not any more than he needs to. He's made quite the life for himself at the 118 with people he loves and not a care in the world (at least, as far as anybody can tell) about his past before the 118. His past that he has historically been a bit vague about. When a blast from the past appears on a call, he is realizing that he might not have gotten away so scott-free from his past occupation. Cue Eddie noticing. Now, Buck has to navigate the collision between his past and his present.

Summary
It's just a normal 12-hour overnight shift when Eddie notices that Buck is acting weird. Like weirder than usual, which is saying something for him.
What happens when ghosts from a past that Eddie didn't even know existed until today come crawling out, and he meets a side of Buck he never knew? What does Buck do when his families collide? His past with his present? And to top it all off, he feels more alive than he has in years.
But he hasn’t seen Hondo in a long time—not since everything fell apart—and now that he’s back on SWAT’s radar, it’s only a matter of time before more familiar faces start showing up, asking questions Buck’s not sure he’s ready to answer. -

"Buckley and Diaz aren't in a relationship. They're just like that."
Captain Chen laughs, "Well make sure it stays that way, because you're in for a mountain of paperwork if they get together. Knowing them, they'll get married quicker than you and Athena and you'll be in for another round of paperwork that's even worse."

Summary
Eddie Diaz has a secret. Not the “in love with Buck” one (though, sure, that’s festering too). No, this one comes with fur, whiskers, and an unsettling eagerness to use his shifted form for petty psychological warfare.
Because Buck? He’s afraid of cats. Something about “the staring” and “they’re plotting to steal my soul”. Eddie, being the picture of maturity, reacts by shifting into a cat and showing up everywhere. Buck’s door. The firehouse. His balcony. In his laundry. Just…watching.
Eddie is thriving. Chris is an evil mastermind. And Buck spirals, convinced the cat is haunting him, gifting him presents, and slowly gnawing at his sanity. This is not a pet-owner dynamic. This is a hostage situation with emotional manipulation from a four-legged gremlin.
Everything’s flawless - until Eddie accidentally unleashes the nightmare that is cat-dad Buck. Then forgets he’s not supposed to be naked in Buck’s apartment. At least, not like that.
Oops.

Summary
The picture on the back is a dark tree line contrasted by the wide blue sky above it. It’s faded, like it has taken one too many trips in the back of a mail truck, tattered and worn.
Eddie flips it over, the back scrawled with quick but somewhat neat handwriting. Scanning the words his eyes drop to the corner—the address.
‘Maddie Kendall, 1500 Hemlock Ave, Hershey, PA 17033’
Or,
An AU where Buck's postcards, which he sent to Maddie, were forwarded to Eddie on deployment by mistake. He becomes attached to the man behind the letters and his stories of his travels. Until, by a twist of fate, they bring him face to face with Buck himself.- Language:
