Summary
Mulder joins Scully for a family dinner at Maggie's house.
"It’s early December and there is snow on the roads as they begin their drive out to Baltimore, late on a Sunday afternoon. Scully drives; she's more confident than he is in the snow. He’s not sure she’s a better driver in bad conditions than he is, but she is more confident. She seems to relish checking the tread on her tires, continually assessing her traction. He likes having the chance to watch her a little, while she drives and they talk. She’s wearing a soft, dark-grey button up sweater, and the pearl earrings she often seems to wear to dinner at her mother’s house."
This is part of my 'The Work of An Instant' series. In each story of this series Mulder and Scully share a moment of sudden realization about their feelings for one another, while they are surrounded by other people. Each story stands alone, and can be read by itself.

Five years after a bitter divorce and complete silence, Tony returns to DC only to come face to face with the one ghost from his past he never wanted to summon. Ziva doesn't seem much happier to see him. But old habits die hard, including how well they work together. From there, it gets a whole lot more complicated as they try to understand what really happened to them.

They were not the same after the elevator, there had been a shift, though Tony and Ziva did not know just how big a shift they would feel; little can prepare them for an addition to their entirely unofficial relationship. The earth certainly did move and its only goal was to attach them forever, whether they were ready for it or not.
