Summary
"I don’t think pretty is any bad, don’t you reckon?”
“I suppose."
“Indeed, you are pretty, are you not, little prince?”
The wolfish grin is back, and Lance feels his face warm up, but before he can’t stutter something in response, King Fernando carries the conversation to a different topic, breezing past his comment. Lance can only follow his lead.- Language:

Summary
The problem at hand is that Lance can't bring himself to care enough — about his father's wishes, about his fate as the future king, as a ruler of a kingdom standing on a shaky foundation; about slaying a dragon who hasn't scorned him in any way. Even the thought of not coming back and perishing on this unwanted quest doesn’t instill as much fear. He has everything and thousands would wish to be in his place, but his life feels empty and artificial; lacking a spark or a purpose.
Or: Lance is a knight who’s sent by his father, the king, on a quest to slay a dragon in order to prove himself. Instead of a mighty beast Lance stumbles upon a peculiar man named Fernando who wears a lavish robe and spends most of his time reading. Or so it seems.

Summary
The commentators’ voices filtered through the pit wall speakers at low volume, muffled by static, but clear enough.
“Alonso’s chasing his second title this year, if he can keep Schumacher at bay. Despite his DNF in Budapest, he’s held a ten-point gap on the Ferrari driver…”
And when the camera showed the #1 emblazoned blue and yellow Renault, Lance knew. If he was chasing his second title, with Michael Schumacher still on the grid, this wasn’t Istanbul 2021. It was 2006.
He was in 2006.
And he had no idea how to get back.Bookmarked by Corrie77
