“I didn’t turn anybody!” Owen stood up, managing strength despite his proximity to the bars. “That’s all that blue haired idiot's fault. You people came barging into cursed land and decided to live here. This is your own fault.”
Avid made a huffy sound, rolling his eyes. He looked ready to kill him, but was holding back. That’s a new one for him. “It doesn’t matter, you’ll be burnt by sunrise.”

After Owen gives his 2799 speech, one of the humans manages to get the jump on him. They take him back to town and take their sweet time figuring out what to do with him. All hope seems lost but… is this for the best?

Perhaps he was looking for anything to ease his nerves. His head was buzzing painfully with anticipation, his thoughts far too fast for him to comprehend as both his hands shakily reached out to grab the handle. But as soon as he did that the door suddenly flew open and he was met with…. Oh god.

Back at it again trying to write something coherent and actually good. My version of Taph first arriving at the cabin! He doesn't experience an actual round cause I didn't know how I wanted to write that yet, though I might add a second chapter where that happens if I feel motivated enough.
