Some lilting melody Kaoru has heard him sing a thousand times before, a song they once heard through a grainy jukebox when he went to visit Kojiro in Florence, in a cupboard-sized bar that served the best sangria Kaoru had ever tasted. The familiar notes vibrating through Kojiro’s low, rich baritone curl down Kaoru’s spine like a caress, warming him from within. He inhales deeply through his nose, biting his lower lip as he sits up, eyes sweeping hungrily, unseen, down the contoured lines of Kojiro’s body.
Oh, no. He might ruin his friendship with Kojiro tonight.
