Summary
Its hard to understand the horrors of the battle field and that traumas that accompany it. Its harder yet to help those who have come face to face with such an opponent, especially when your comprehension of the subject is limited and all you can offer is good will and prayers. Still, Sidon will do his best to help Link overcome his mental battles, even if all he can do is sit in a puddle for a few hours.

Summary
Link’s eyes move to follow each speaker. Laser precision, almost mechanical. He had fought machines and monsters alike, but apparently nothing had prepared him enough for this betrayal. Link catches Sidon’s eyes. He is also livid, barely holding in an anger Link has never seen before. It is the one thing that shakes him. Link is used to his own rage, the simmering frustration. To see Sidon as affected as Link feels scares him.
(alternatively titled: in which Zelda dabbles in Hyrule politics and Link tries not to murder everyone)

When Sidon asks Link to take a trip together, Link is all too happy to oblige in the interest of spending some quality time with his closest friend. However, he doesn’t foresee the dangers in the forecast, and when Sidon’s life is on the line he will be forced to face his own feelings about what their relationship truly means to him.

“Can hear you thinkin,” Chas mumbled in annoyance and tried to press his face impossibly closer to John. Much more and John was sure he’d hear Chas’s nose break as he squashed it flat. “What’s so important?”
“You think beige walls are a sign that punk really is dead?” John asked quietly.
Chas groaned and John was tickled by his eyelashes as he cracked an eye open to glare at Johns back. “Wot?” John didn’t answer.
