Summary
When Regulus black drowned in that cave, feeling his body being torn apart by hundreds of rotting hands and the burning effect of that awful potion, he never expected he would wake up in his bed after taking what he thought was his last breath.
Regulus Black gets dragged underwater by hundreds of rotting skeletal hands. So it makes sense why he would be confused waking up in his bedroom.

There is an aching chasm deep in Tom’s chest. Its black abyss drags all he is inside of it, hiding it far, far below the view of sunlight. He cannot reach into himself to pull it all out. A hand will not reach into the endless void to offer him help.
Then he meets Harry, and that hole has suddenly, blissfully, been filled.

Due to time travel shenanigans, when Harry ends up in the 1940s, Tom is missing a piece of his soul—just one, just Harry, as Tom and Harry cannot exist without one belonging to the other. Now that he has him, Tom will not be letting go. But yet, when Isadora Capri, the new principal at Nevermore Academy, offers him the opportunity to enroll in a special rehabilitation program for outcasts whose abilities have made them dangerous to others, he reluctantly agrees.

Wednesday Addams kisses Tyler Galpin in The Weathervane Cafe and sees everything. Laurel Gates is a genocidal maniac disguising as Ms. Marilyn Thornhill, an overly sweet, homely omega schoolteacher. Making Tyler trust her, touching him, hitting him, making him cry, making her his master. How dare she puts her hands on Tyler. How dare she try and the rid the world of outcasts. Wednesday hates her, she will give her a painful death.
Tyler Galpin has the worst 2 years of his life. He wanted to learn more about his mom instead, he is abused, turned into a monster, enslaved, unable to remember things, powerless to ask for help, run away or even kill himself to escape it and with tons of physical and psychological scars and issues. Until Wednesday Addams show up, Wednesday who likes him but usually hates everyone.
Tyler knows it might be a little naive and silly, but growing up separate from outcast culture and reading fairytales. He thought maybe with true loves' kiss, she could break his hyde curse. He was right in a way. It did not reverse his hydeness, it did transfers the masterhood from Laurel Gates to Wednesday Addams. She is his true mate and they are going to fix the mess the lunatic made together.
