As an enchanting, whaling song broke through the silence, Wonder Woman stopped, hands automatically going to the lasso secured on her hip, the rest following her example and adopring their own battle poses, even though the song had seemed almost… friendly. Even beckoning.
“Careful, friends.” Wonder Woman warned as the notes faded, her eyes scanning the dark and salty waters of this half-sunken cave system they had found themselves in after chasing down Circe and her underlings.

Summary
Instead of lunging at him, the monster stumbled, as it tried to stand, and Clark saw as a child's leg slipped out of a big black boot before tangling in a yellow belt, small, very childish hands trying and failing to catch it. And maybe… And maybe it wasn't a monster at all, because as Clark watched, transfixed, the kid - because it had to be a kid, he didn't seem to be older than Clark- face planted on the floor without making even a single noise.

Jason cursed, heart hammering in his throat but hands steady on the tire iron. His movements were fast and precise despite never attempting such a feat before. He had to give credit where it was due; the stupid protection systems would probably have scared off any other street rat daring enough to steal from The Bat, the first tire he'd managed to snag nearly electrocuting Jason as soon as he'd even tried loosening the first nut.
