He traced a circle on the snow, and a second, smaller one inside it. It would have been nice to dig out his old spellbook for the occasion, but Ness didn’t want to push his luck too much. Besides, though it had been years, he still remembered the runes and their significance. He inscribed them carefully in the gap between the concentric circles until he had filled the space with the same summoning spell he had attempted when he was a child.
Now, all he needed to do was visualise the magical creature he wanted to bring to him. He was spoiled for choice, really, when there was an abundance of magical creatures he wanted to meet. Any one of them would do, he really wasn’t picky.
All he could imagine was choppy blond and blue hair, red and black and blue tattoos, blue roses—
Oh, who was he kidding? Kaiser was about the only thing he could think about.

Summary
Continuing off from the ending of work 1 in this collection / A Strange New Leaf in Elysian Realm. Divergence from canon: Alhaitham was raised by the Flame-Chasers (don't ask any questions). Cyno, Tighnari, Kaveh, and Haitham were all in the same dorm (for dramatic reasons).
Alhaitham-centric adventures in present day Sumeru, (soon to) feature roommate chaos, Flame-Chasers hanging out around Sumeru, and much more.
Tags will be updated as plot progresses. New chapters will appear at sporadic timing: author must crawl out of college classes hell to write, so no promises on when the next chapter might show up.
