  2. Summary

What if Nick and Judy had never been honest with each other on the Weather Wall? What if Nick had simply handed Judy the repaired carrot pen without saying a word?
A world where the lack of communication led Wildehopps to tragedy or even permanent failure.

    Summary

AU where Nick never managed to switch out the serum with blueberries. Bellwether hit Judy accidentally before shooting Nick. They were supposed to go savage. Instead, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps regress into a non-violent primal state. Instinct draws them together instead of tearing them apart.

When they wake up, they struggle to put the missing pieces of what happened together – the whole world believes they are lovers.

Note: Characters engage in intimacy while under the influence of a fictional serum. The event is portrayed as mutual and is not written as sexual assault, but characters DO address the topic. The story explores emotional consequences afterward. I have tagged the work "Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings" for this reason.

    Summary

In the animal world, predators and prey aren't exactly known for their close relationships, but Nick and Judy don't care—after all, they’re police partners. Working well together is literally their job.

He might be a fox (who's sort of handsome), and she might be a bunny (who's kind of cute), but regardless of species, they're first and foremost friends of the highest order. Totally inseparable, totally in sync, and totally…

    Just friends…right?

Look out, because love can sneak up on even the most experienced officers.

Each chapter of this collection is a standalone one-shot.

    Chapter 1 Summary:

Judy decides to cultivate Nick's hidden artistic talent by volunteering to pose as a painting subject. As Nick progresses from pencil sketches, to ink drawings, to oil paintings, Judy soon discovers why the bond between artists and their models is the stuff of legends.

    Bookmarker's Notes

The author's writing is extremely good; she has a way of building Wildehopps in a profound, subtle, and moving way.

It reminds me of "Safe Paws" but it's even more emotional.

    Summary

Judy Hopps is a hopeless romantic who’s always dreamed of finding her Prince Charming.

Nick Wilde is a cynic who doesn’t believe in love.

They’re best friends. And somehow… that has always been enough.

    But suddenly, it isn’t.

Because it’s easy to call it platonic…until you have to watch someone else take your place.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Funny if you take the labels literally: nobody communicates, nobody reflects, and Wildehopps are idiots.
It gets pretty explicit in chapter 8, not until the end but it is described and it wasn't as romantic, more like a classic Smut.
