- Like hell I won’t, you’re coming with me. Sirius said it with such a serious tone that he knew his brother wasn’t joking.

Sirius is 18 and can’t handle being one more day in his parents house. One day he buys two train tickets and drages his 14 year old brother Regulus with him to some small town in fuck-out-nowhere. There he hopes they can mend what’s broken, and maybe build something new and better.

And then Sirius and Remus. Trouble, apparently. Remus couldn’t argue, as their first meeting had involved what could have been breaking and entering – he still wasn’t sure. When they were together, whatever they were doing was at risk of explosion, and they had a way of drawing biting wit from one another. They bickered more than the others, quick to raise hackles and spit glass, but they struggled to hold grudges for more than a few minutes. James hated his friends arguing, so would sometimes intervene. Either way, their apologies ended in laughter, and a friendship a thread stronger. Sirius had secrets too, he thought. Maybe not the same as his, but something.
