Summary
It was a beautiful sort of torture, when Will would lay a hand on Nico's bare shoulder and sing a quiet hymn to Apollo. Nico did his best to focus on the soothing warmth that spread across his wound, and ignore the warmth he felt in his chest and heating his cheeks. If Will noticed the flush that formed on Nico's face every time they underwent their ritual, he was either too polite or too uncomfortable to mention it.

He had never snuck out of his house, or skipped school, or drank a sip of alcohol when he was under 21.
He always made sure to help his mom with the chores, he always took his vitamins, and was always on time for class.
"Come on, live a little!" He heard that from his friends a million times, but he didn't quite understand.
He loved his quiet little life, he didn't think anything was missing from it, and he wasn't looking forward to any of that useless adrenaline or danger kids his age were always after.

Summary
Will’s supposed building doesn’t look so worn, but it isn’t new either. Definitely not what he was expecting. It’s a six-storey building with its white paint yellowing with age. It reminds him somehow of Japanese apartments with their uniformity and the balconies. The ground floor is a commercial space for a convenience store, hair salon, laundromat, and noodle shop. The stairway leading to the living spaces above is dark and cold and full of inconspicuous spaces that he’s sure if someone slips and dies here, nobody would find the body until five years later.

As he navigates the grief and pain of losing his older sister, competitive dance of Nico di Angelo’s senior season has just begun. He’s confident, maybe too much so, in his routine. Hours and hours have gone into it, and he’s amazing. His skill is practically unmatched. What he doesn’t realize is that there are other types of skill and other types of dance. So when he gets beat out by a tap number danced by a stupidly cute blonde, he is fuming. This boy turns out to be his biggest competitor of the season, but maybe he can become more than just his self proclaimed mortal enemy.
With that, Nico is almost a ticking time bomb of anger and depression. His closest friends try to defuse him, but nothing seems to be working. That is, until he has a reason and something to work toward. Will Solace just wants to be friends, but Nico won’t let him get anywhere close. They continue this dance, a chase, until they both realize what it is they truly want.
