The sheer whiplash made Guy feel as though they had been slapped in the face. Their cheeks flushed from the sudden accusation, and silence filled the air, almost suffocatingly so. Like Airyn herself had choked them out. And within that silence, they could've sworn there was a whisper. A taunt. A smug, mischievous little snicker, like it was mocking them.

Summary
