Summary

So basically a Songfic (I still can't believe I wrote a Songfic) based off of the Song "Heaven on their minds" from the amazing musical "Jesus Christ Superstar". Don't take this too seriously, tho, I think this is supposed to be crack.

"Sonic quickly decided that the only reason he stopped his usual habit of attacking Saitama was because it would have been bad sportsmanship to kill while his victim was drunk. The sad kind of drunk, Sonic realized, the kind of drunk you get when you just want to wallow in your own self-pity and make the sullenness any less unbearable. Not that Sonic had experience with Saitama's condition, of course."
So yeah, basically they just drink and talk about their problems. I ship them, but it doesn't have to be shippy.

Summary
“Yor,” he said slowly, trying to quell the mounting sense of panic that was swirling in his gut. “Did Anya not tell you what type of auction this is?”
Yor tilted her head curiously. “Type of auction? What do you mean?”
Off to the side, a group of well-dressed individuals were beginning to line up. A few of them squealed excitedly to each other, trying to peek at the audience from behind the curtains. Loid felt queasy as he turned back to Yor.
“The final part of tonight’s charity event is going to be a date auction. That’s what you signed up for.”
She peered at him, gaze wide and innocent as a deer. “What’s a date auction?”
After a series of comically unfortunate misunderstandings lands Yor in an precarious position, Loid must swoop in to save the day at the one place he dreads the most: the date auction.
Operation Stryx, the Forger Family, and perhaps even his heart, are all at stake—if only he’ll admit it to himself.

“What I’m saying is, I need a favor from you. I need you to protect this girl while we put an end to this.”
“I’m retired—by your orders, Handler—I don’t do missions anymore.”
“I know, but you’re still the best agent we ever had. You’re the only one I trust to keep her safe.”
“I’m an unemployed bachelor living alone out in the middle of nowhere. That’s hardly a good environment for a kid.”
“It won’t be that long, just a few months at most. You don’t need to raise her, for crying out loud, just make sure she stays alive and well. We’ll compensate you and everything,” the Handler says.
“What if I say no?”
A futile question.
“Ultimately, I can’t force you to do anything anymore,” she says, “But the poor kid has been through so much. I’m asking you as a friend to protect this little girl.”
She sucks in a breath and holds it, as if debating to say what’s on her mind.
“You fought so children could have a safe world to grow up in, right?” Her voice is gentle and sincere. “Please, Twilight, she needs that world more than ever.”
