    “Well, you were missing and Drift was worried, so I came out to find you. But seeing you in that state made me curious, so I decided to… ask some questions before I returned you.” Scott leaned forward and delicately trailed his fingers across Avid’s chin, which was when he realized Avid’s face was wet. “Have you been crying?”
    Avid glared at Scott but didn’t pull away from his touch. “That’s none of your business.”
    “Maybe not, but I could make it my business,” To prove his point, Scott grinned at him, showing off his lovely fangs.
