He doesn’t even have to think about what he’s doing, it just feels natural, like this is what his whole life has been leading up to, this one perfect moment that’ll start the new and better half of his so far pretty shit existence. No more being a burden, no more failing Kei when he’s in trouble, no more not going outside. He pulls a razor out of the drawer where he keeps his toiletries and takes only a moment to appreciate its edge before positioning it on his chest and decisively cutting a short but deep slice into the skin there.

Kei’s breath seems to catch somewhere just out of reach, a small stuttering of inhales before he’s exhaling all at once and quietly agreeing. “Yeah, okay,” is all he says, but it’s enough.
“Good boy,” Tadashi says, his teasing tone overwhelmed by the relief evident in his voice. He’s too tired and too elated to put any effort into trying to regulate himself anymore. He’s out like a light soon after and misses the way the tense breathing pattern across the room ceases all together for nearly a whole minute before slowly, slowly resuming.

Tadashi hates being asked by girls to deliver their love notes to his best friend who he also happens to be in love with. Summary
Tsukishima is, after all, a professional dancer. He specializes in Standard, or ballroom, and has won first place in the World Championship six years in a row. With his dashing good looks; tall, pale, blonde hair cut short and neat, thick rimmed glasses, alluring golden eyes, and his smooth, deft movements when dancing, it’s really no surprise. When he dances he’s captivating, an angel come down to court whatever lucky partner he’s chosen, but Yamaguchi knows for a fact that his true personality is far colder.
Yamaguchi’s a professional dancer himself, however, specializing in Latin. Born and raised in Cuba he grew up dancing to the music on the streets of a big city. When he moved to Japan he’d had one goal, to make a living dancing, and he’s since reached it. He’s no big time champion like Tsukishima, but he’s won competitions at a national level and has had offers to be taken international. Refusing them dulls his reputation a little, but he doesn’t mind, he prefers teaching at his studio to any kind of fame. He’s also not particularly interested in learning Standard, Tsukishima’s preferred style, either.
So why then, is he here?

Tsukki pinched the bridge of his nose and Tadashi knew that he was beginning to get to the end of his wits with this conversation. “Why don’t you just kiss some guys and some girls and make a list comparing how you feel or something,” he drawled.
It was such a Tsukki answer that Tadashi had to laugh. Just organize your feelings into a list. Of course.
Although, he had to admit, it wasn’t a terrible concept.

Tsukishima and Yamaguchi are just friends, until Yamaguchi manages to drag Tsukki into a pseudo-scientific kissing research project and things begin to change.
