  Summary

  Charlotte Casca is the heir to her mother’s throne. But The Red Queen is a brutal ruler, she uses necromancy on criminals to turn them into an elite army of undead. And while she throws lavish holiday parties on every occasion, indulging in champagne and expensive wine with nobles, a group of human police known as The Queens Reapers round up criminals to be taken to The Queens Crypt in the basement of the castle. Charlotte has no idea what her mother does while ruling, and is ill-prepared for reality. Living a sheltered life inside the castle slowly going mad with only her books, paint, and defense training to keep her busy. Her boring life changes the night of The Queen’s annual New Year’s Eve party, when Charlotte is sucked into a world below the safety and luxury she is used to, and has to face the reality that no one is safe from her mother’s tyranny, not even Charlotte herself.
  Now entangled with the mobs of Wonderland’s undercity, Charlotte’s eyes are opened to suffering for the first time in her life, she almost wishes she could see the world the way it was before, but now she has a purpose. Overthrowing The Deck, and somehow taking her mother with them before it’s too late.
